Bahamas

Burns House of Bahamas held a Grand Holiday Wine Tasting at the Sheraton Grand Ballroom on Friday, November 12, 2010.  Caribah, a local Caribbean Jazz group provided the entertainment at the event.  The five-member band played some Jazz favorites as well as their own unique mix which included “Heaven Smile” by Shamound Smith, which was nominated for a Marlin Award in 2009 .

Caribah band leader and drummer Ronnie Seymour told Nassau Guardian Intern Chakara Bennet before the event, “I am always excited about events like this because we just love to play.  Our sound is smooth and relaxing.  We want people to get in that zone[…].  I want our music to be a sort of escape from the everyday music that most people are accustomed to.  I hope people are inspired and appreciate the different brand of music we offer.”
